Introducing strategic planning
Voluntary and community organisations can plan more effectively for the future through a process called strategic planning. NCVO Third Sector Foresight supports strategic planning by providing information about strategic analysis (trends, planning tools and advice).
To get the most from our resources, it helps to understand the main terms (jargon) we use:
strategic analysis: understanding the world – the environment – outside your organisation
strategic planning: using that understanding to ensure long-term success
driver: something outside of your organisation that has an impact on you
