Training for CEOs

On Monday 11 October, we're running training in Cambridge. Aimed at those who plan for the future of their organisations (CEOs and the like), Making sense of your environment will help you in these turbulent times.

10 am - 1pm, at the Eastern Leadership Centre, Pampisford.

Book here

It will help you to:

  • isolate the external trends and forces (drivers) that matter to your organisation
  • find relevant information about your drivers
  • develop and evaluate options for strategic action
  • populate significant parts of your strategic plan.

very interesting and thought provoking and I will certainly use some of the info in my strategic plans

Have a look at what Voluntary Action Kirklees got out of attending the training on our Personal Stories page.

"When the local council announced a move from grant-funding of support services for voluntary and community organisations to commissioning, Voluntary Action Kirklees recognised that the changing environment would pose challenges to them and other local support providers. NCVO Third Sector Foresight training and tools enabled them to better understand the risks and to identify and act on the opportunities".

Third Sector Foresight

We're also running some training with COVER for development workers in the East of England on 3rd November. This is going to build on the work we're doing with leaders in the area, and also what we ran through with delegates at COVER's Annual Conference in 2009.

You can take a look what the 40 participants from the Conference session we ran came up with as the main trends and forces for the third sector in COVER’s region over the next 5 years by downloading the PEST we put together here.

As you can see, some trends overlapped across the PEST boxes. Participants came up with a strong consensus on the possible future of the sector in the region. How can you use information like this to help the organisations you support through the years ahead?

To book: Download this booking form and email it to office@cover-east.org. Contact Abigail Patience abigail.patience@cover-east.org, Policy and Communications Manager COVER, 07751 809 611 / 01799 532 892 for more information.
