Strategic planning tips competition

This website is all about sharing ideas and knowledge – adding your comments and thoughts on all elements of strategic analysis. Now you’ve got the chance to do this and win a prize!

Do you have a top tip for strategic analysis? Share it with us and win a free second place at the Alive and Kicking conference!

Book your own place before Friday 10 October and email foresight@ncvo-vol.org.uk your top strategic planning tip along with your booking form or a copy of your online confirmation message. We’ll choose the best one by 17th October. We’ll also share them with the network, so do let us know if you’re not happy for us to do that.

What could your top tip be?

  • an insight into a driver that you’ve found particularly relevant for your organisation or for a particular sector. See for example Mark Crowe has talked about the driver on attitudes to ethnicity.
  • Have you found a driver that helped you plan your organisation’s strategic future more effectively?
  • A pointer on how to get the most out of a planning tool like the ones we suggest on this website. For example: the Ansoff matrix – have you ever used this tool? What have you found particularly useful or limited about it?
  • What do you think is absolutely essential to thinking strategically?
  • What are the key factors that have influenced your strategic planning year after year?
  • Do you find vision statements useful?
  • What have you found is the best way to analyse the external environment?

Jake from NCVO also has some tips of his own.

Let us know this week!
