Future of Membership Seminar

What does the future hold for membership schemes?

With membership levels declining across many organisations, how can you make sure your membership scheme remains active and relevant in the next 5 years? How will your scheme respond to changes in technology, increased threats from the commercial sector, and changing expectations of participation?

As a follow-up to the highly successful NCVO / RSA Future of Membership research project, NCVO Third Sector Foresight is very pleased to be able to offer a seminar dedicated to thinking about the future of voluntary and community (VCS) membership schemes.

Third Sector Foresight has assembled a team of experts working at the cutting edge of membership innovation to guide you through some key drivers likely to affect the VCS in the next 5 years. Intended to inspire and support your planning in the face of a rapidly changing environment, this seminar will provide you with tools and resources to help ensure the future sustainability of your VCS membership scheme. This event will also provide a platform for informed debate and act as a forum for sharing ideas, problems, and creative solutions.

Specifically designed for VCS strategic leaders, this event will help you to take time out of your daily role to

  • Understand which drivers are likely to affect membership in the next 5 years
  • Develop strategic responses to future opportunities and threats
  • Learn about innovative membership tools and models
  • Discuss and share ideas and experiences

NCVO Third Sector Foresight Leading Lights seminar series

This seminar is the latest in our series of events each of which explores a specific topic in depth. The aim of NCVO Third Sector Foresight Leading Lights seminars is to provide delegates with time and space away from the daily pressures of running their organisation to focus on complex external trends that may impact on their organisation in the future.

NCVO Third Sector Foresight seminars bring together a wide range of people who are thinking about the future of their organisation in order to generate lively debate, share ideas and give delegates the chance to meet and discuss strategic issues with their peers.

What others have said about our seminars:

‘the seminar provided very engaging speaker presentations and useful networking opportunities with key individuals’

Karen Mellanby (BASSAC)

‘a good opportunity to gain ideas; start thinking and develop ideas to take back to teams and executives’

Inez Smith (YMCA Cambridgeshire and Peterborough)
