Internationalisation of public services

As the globalisation of markets continues, public services are becoming increasingly internationalised.  This is particularly evident in health with more UK residents travelling abroad for treatment, blood samples being tested in India and the take-over of UK health providers by foreign companies.  Back office services that can be provided remotely (often facilitated by ICT) are increasingly off-shored, despite recent consumer backlashes.
