Support for infrastructure and umbrellas: training

Would you like to help frontline organisations to be more reactive and sustainable?

We lead the Responding to Social Change workstream. As part of this we offer 2 strands of tailored training for people who work for infrastructure and umbrella organisations:

  1. Making sense of your environment: training for leaders
  2. Understanding the external environment: supporting the front line.

Making sense of your environment: training for leaders parts 1 &2

"Stimulating and powerful"

Structured to fit around busy timetables, this training is two bite-sized sessions, one breakfast and one evening workshop. Tailored specifically for chief executive officers and chairs of infrastructure and umbrella organisations: those involved in planning or thinking about the future of those organisations.

The training will help you to lead your organisation more effectively and sustainably. By the end of the workshops you will be able to:

  • isolate the external trends and forces (drivers) that matter to your organisation
  • find relevant information about your drivers
  • develop and evaluate options for strategic action
  • populate significant parts of your strategic plan.

"Valuable opportunity to reflect on the planning process and some very valuable tools and techniques."

Helen Groves, Chief Executive,Humber Learning Consortium

Understanding the external environment: supporting the front line

One day workshop for development workers and others who support the frontline.

By the end of the day you will be able to:

  • describe the value of thinking about external change to frontline organisations
  • isolate the external trends and forces (drivers) that matter to the organisations you support
  • provide advice/support to frontline organisations to ensure their effective response to social change.

You will also be able to use the information we give you to build a reference pack to help you and those you support in the future.
