Our strategic analysis

Every year we publish our own strategic analysis of the changing operating environment and drivers for the voluntary and community sector, Voluntary Sector Strategic Analysis.
Voluntary Sector Strategic Analysis 2007/08 was published on 15th October 2007. All NCVO members received a free copy as a key membership benefit.
Purchase a copy (£15/£10.50 NCVO members)
The publication brings together discussion of key drivers and their implications in 'aspects' of the operating environment. The six aspects discussed in the 2007 edition are:
- Local governance
- Public services
- Attitudes towards individual and collective responsibility
- Funding
- Globalisation
- The environment
The publication is designed to complement this website. The website provides a greater depth of analysis about each driver and links through to sources of further information. The publication provides an overview and is better able to explore the links and tensions between drivers.
Browse through the drivers on this website or read about how to start your own strategic analysis.
